Goat Wall - Prime Rib

Goat wall is a 1500 foot wall that rises up above the Methow River, just off of the valley floor, right here in Mazama. The rock is a metamorphosed, sedimentary rock and while it doesn’t fracture into clean crack systems, it does offer an abundance of edges that make this rock supremely climbable.
 

Chianti Spire- Rebel Yell

Rebel Yell, on Chianti Spire, sports some of the cleanest, most exposed climbing at Washington Pass.  Local guidebook author Ian Nicholson calls Rebel Yell “one of the best alpine rock climbs in the Cascades”.   Pitch after pitch of high-quality granite crack climbing takes you a postage stamp sized summit.

Forbidden Peak - North Ridge

Forbidden Peak’s North Ridge is a classic mixed route on a remote side of Forbidden Peak.  It combines crossing a large glacier, steep snow climbing and a beautiful alpine granite ridge that takes you directly to the summit.  Don’t let the moderate rock rating fool you (5.7).  This is a demanding climb that requires well-rounded alpine climbing skills.

Washington Pass Climbing

NCMG guide and author of the Supertopo guide to Washington pass, Ian Nicholson, calls this area “the best alpine rock destination in North America.”  With scores of classic climbs covering the full spectrum of difficulties, there is truly something here for everyone.  Offering an all snow approach in the early season, these climbs can have a distinctly alpine feel in the Spring and early Summer.  Later in the Summer, the approaches become snow free and most of these climbs can be reached in a pair of approach shoes in only an hour or two.  This allows us the unique opportunity to spend the

North Cascades National Park Skiing

North Cascades National Park offers an enormous variety of skiing, from day trips to multi-day traverses, all set in the majestic backdrop of rugged alpine peaks and glaciers. We can access the park from a variety of trailheads, but much of our skiing lies in the iconic Eldorado and Boston Basin areas accessed via Cascade River Road. Classic ski descents in the area include Eldorado, Sahale, the Forbidden Tour, the Inspiration Traverse and Isolation Traverse.

Berner Oberland Skiing
